NEVER STOP GIVING YOUR BEST

Nixon was the 37^th president of the United States serving two terms. We know from the history books that he resigned from office in his second term. We don’t need to make this a big history lesson but President Nixon did in fact have some haters in his life. Nixon had a pretty tough tour as president. Between the Vietnam War and the threats of communism he always tried to do his best.

I picked this quote for a very specific reason. As a great leader it is your duty to always do your best despite what others will think of you. The catch is not to react when people hate you, don’t hate back. As President Nixon says it will destroy you. Great leaders are such because they don’t let the haters bother them. Great leaders have self control and are much disciplined and are capable to rise to the top.

What does it mean to do your best? Is your best going to be better than the next person? Is there a measurement that determines what giving it your best means? This is the way I look at it. If have done everything that I know and have applied it in the very best way that I know, I have done my best. Now, do others know more than me? Absolutely. Does mean that we don’t have the tools, knowledge and experience to do our best in the situation given to us, absolutely not. I think that is where learning comes in, but we will save that for another time.

Some word of caution, do not compare you to others. This will destroy you and make you feel low and discouraged.

Always remember that everyone is destined for greatness. Our greatness is determined by looking back and telling yourself that you did the very best you could do.
